  • General experience
The player explores famous locations as well as hidden gems of Cambridge.

    Short description of the area/neighbourhood
The quest includes locations in the very centre as well as on the boundary of the centre of Cambridge.

    Examples of places

    • The Mathematical Bridge, a famous wooden bridge on the river Cam, connecting the two shores of Queens' College.
    • St. Botolph's Church, a lesser known church with an interesting story.

Examples of topics for the stories

    • The myth of how Newton built the Mathematical bridge himself and how it can hold up without bolts.
    • The fact that St. Botolph is the patron of travellers (just like the players) and that from this name originates the town name "Boston", which exists in England but also, quite glaringly, in Massachussetts, USA.

    Short introduction to fictional mission

The player is a detective hired to free the town from an annoying ghost.  Each riddle you solve will lead you from one place to another, with exact directions, so no need for a map or GPS. Figure out the clues and the secret story of that place is revealed.

Highlights:

Visit both famous locations and hidden gems of Cambridge, while impersonating a clever detective and solving clues to help the town get rid of an annoying but cheerful ghost.

If you are a large group, one person can purchase access for the entire group by selecting the number of people in the group. All group members will be able to play the city game on their smartphone. Alternatively, each person can purchase their own ticket.

You can play as a group and solve the clues together as you walk, or you can split into smaller groups/teams and compete against the others. Each person can also play on their own, separate from the group, and meet the group at the end.
